When and where does Peterborough VegFest take place?
Peterborough VegFest is taking place on Sunday, September 18, 2022, 11am-4pm, in downtown Peterborough’s beautiful Millennium Park, 1 King Street West, Peterborough, ON.
What is Peterborough VegFest?
Peterborough VegFest is an opportunity for people in our region and beyond to access and enjoy delicious plant-based food from a variety of farmers and businesses, and to learn about the health, economic, and environmental benefits of a plant-based diet. Scheduled in the fall, to celebrate the harvest season and Local Food Month in Peterborough, this free event features speakers, workshops, performers, and, of course, delicious food for all to enjoy!
Is the festival indoors or outdoors?
The festival is mostly outdoors, other than the workshops and lectures that will be taking place indoors. Please be prepared, rain or shine!
Do I have to be vegan or vegetarian to attend Peterborough VegFest?
Absolutely not! Everyone is welcome at the festival!
How much does it cost to attend Peterborough VegFest?
Admission to Peterborough VegFest is FREE!
Where can I park?
There is ample free parking in downtown Peterborough. All parking on city streets and lots is free on Sundays.
What about arriving by bike?
Millennium Park is highly accessible by bike or on foot. There are numerous bike racks available, as well as a bike fix-it station.
Is the venue wheelchair accessible?
Millennium Park, including the on-site washrooms, are wheelchair accessible.
Can I take public transportation to the festival?
Peterborough VegFest is located 700 m from the main bus terminal at 190 Simcoe St. in Peterborough. City of Peterborough Transit and GO buses arrive and depart from this location. The Greyhound bus terminal is located next door, at 220 Simcoe St. Some of these transit lines may have reduced service on Sundays, so it is important to double check the routes and schedules prior to making your journey.
Can I bring my dog to the festival?
Peterborough Vegest is a dog-friendly festival, we welcome well-behaved, leashed animal companions as per the by-laws of the City of Peterborough. Dog watering stations will be available on site.
Will there be food at the festival?
Absolutely! Many of our vendors will have food for sale and to sample. Bring your appetite!
Will vendors be accepting credit/debit cards?
Cash is your best bet for the festival. There will be some vendors who are able to process credit/debit card payments, but many won’t be set up for card payments. There are 2 ATMs on site, and there are a few major banks within walking distance of the festival.
Do I need tickets for the speakers?
No tickets are required for the speakers, and all lectures, workshops and demos are free.

Will there be activities for kids?
Yes. The Peterborough VegFest Kids’ Zone will have activities for kids of all ages!
